TECHNICAL FOAMS
::: The product range of technical foams which are sold by Eurofoam GmbH has been expanding since the beginning of 1998.
•		 The term "Technical Foams" denotes a whole line of polyether and polyester foams for industrial applications.
•		 Some applications of technical foams require a totally open structure of the foam materials. The removal of the cell walls (only a structure remains) occurs via reticulation - the foam is enriched with hydrogen, then oxygen is supplied and the following explosion opens the cell walls.
•		 Special types (e.g. ISOSEAL, SUPERSEAL) have a cell structure which enables the application of these materials for various sealings.
•		 Reticulated polyether foams are remarkably suited for allowing bacteria cultures to grow on them - these foams can be applied to biological water and air filter systems (wastewater treatment plants, air-purification facilities).
Reticulated foams are exceptionally suitable for the filtering of, for example, water and air.
•		 A complete line of technical foams (FILTREN and BULPREN) are used as filters for various substances (air, water, oils, etc.) or serve as a carrier for other substances, e.g. charcoal.
•		 BULPREN and FILTREN are also used for the manufacturing of ceramic filters. Ceramic material is applied on the cell structure of a reticulated foam.
•		 One interesting characteristic of polyether FILTREN is that this material binds oil and some other substances which opens further physical filtration possibilities.
