Eurofoam deflammo FF for more safety in Austrian's cable cars!

::: Eurofoam equips the new gondola "Hohe Mut" in Obergurgl with flame-resistant upholstery

The Doppelmayr-subsidiary, CWA Constructions, turns its attention more to safety in the newly opened gondola in Obergurgl. Together with the Vorarlberg-based company, Seibt Techtextil, Eurofoam equipped this cable car with fire-resistant seat- and backrest-components.

"With the seating systems manufactured from the highly flame retardant foam, Eurofoam deflammo FF, the guests not only have a safer ride but also a more comfortable one", explains Manfred Marchgraber, managing director of Eurofoam. As well as complying with stringent fire safety laws, it also fulfils the highest demands for comfort.

And that was exactly the determining factor in this project. Seibt Techtextil based in Fussach, Vorarlberg, is a long-standing partner of CWA Constructions and Doppelmayr Seilbahn GmbH and manufactures high-quality seating systems for lifts. In order to fulfil the increasing demand for comfort, while at the same time complying with fire safety laws, the company looked for new materials. Manfred Seibt, founder of Seibt Techtextil, is convinced of the fact that the "upholstered foam, Eurofoam deflammo FF, represents an ideal solution, therefore ensuring the optimum fulfilment of the stipulations".

Eurofoam deflammo FF synthesizes for the first time safety and comfort in one high-tech product. The foam is certified according to ÖNORM A3800 and fulfils the classifications B1 (highly flame retardant) and Q1 (minimal smouldering). This is the most important norm for the field of comfort in furnishing materials. As well as the tested fire safety, the material is characterised by its long life span, the particularly high bearing capacity and excellent spring features. Furthermore Eurofoam deflammo FF is produced - as in the case of all the foams manufactured by Eurofoam - without greenhouse gases and is 100% recyclable
