EUROGA 2002+ in Düsseldorf

::: Multifunctional garden house made of FrameFoam®

In the course of the decentralized organized European Garden Fair EUROGA 2002+ an art-exhibition called "light-green" is taking place from May till October in Düsseldorf 2002. Around 30 different art projects will be displayed in the Hofgarten area.
One of the most creative and exiting concepts is distributed by the group of artisits "alias" from Leipzig (alias - studio for walking science)
The multifunctional garden house is placed immediately in front of the Steigenberger Parkhotel at the end of the Königsallee and will serve as "center for garden-procurement".

The project sees itself as a work of art with social impact: hospitable garden owners and nature-lovers without own garden are brought together with the help of a modern database - to visit the garden, to drink coffee together, to make a barbecue , to help weeding or painting the fence, to play and relax.
The alias garden house is a result of a co-operation between the architectural office b&k from Köln and the interior designer Barbara Wolff.
Our Eurofoam plant in Wabern made an important contribution as well: all outer and inner parts of the garden house were produced exactly according the available outline.
Our highly-stable and waterproof FrameFoam proved to be an ideal construction material. The unique garden house consists of seven flexible units - with door and table, chair, bench and rack - all made of FrameFoam - as well as 2 extremely variable domelights, which can be used as windows in the front and in the back, as well as a hotbed for salad and vegetables.
